We are looking for an experienced technology frontend and backend senior developer who loves to lay the foundations for state of the art technology architecture, takes a hands-on approach to building the software and building an amazing tech team from scratch. Equally important is also that the candidate is a great colleague and team- player.

The Product:

The platform needs to be engineered to fulfill demanding user needs including:

• Building out a SaaS product that will change students and job seekers lives

• APIs to expose capabilities to 3rd-parties

• Modern looking, well-guided data entry interface with outstanding ease of use

(that users LOVE)

• Use of ML/AI for matching job seekers to job discovery

• State of the art data-storage and analysis architecture that enables further modular development and agility in deployment

• Enterprise grade security, scalability and admin features

The Role:

The Senior Full Stack Developer will play the leading role to define and build our MVP and to further build the complete product. The role is structured to take a leadership role within the Product/Tech team. Being in the driver's seat you will be able to define the software architecture and lead the software development. The goal is to start with a

small team of 2-3 developers who work in an agile fashion and to then scale the team further and eventually build various scrum teams over the years to be the strongest tech powerhouse in the market.

As part of the founding team you will be an instrumental part of shaping the product & business strategy. You will help own the tech strategy and manage day-to-day engineering execution. Looking ahead, you will be responsible for helping grow the team and set up the technical capabilities of the business for growth.

The Founders:

The Founders have extensive experience including: seven+ years within investment banking specifically focusing on the Higher Education Industry (target market), experience in seed-to-series-A startups and high growth startups.

Responsibilities:

• Rapidly iterate and test first version prototypes by collecting client feedback

• Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable product

• Building out our tech stack and engineering hiring plan

• Work with engineering team to increase their expertise and understanding of best development practices

• Partner with CEOs to define, prioritize and realize product roadmap

• Managing in-house engineering team, contracted development partners, and head the integrations of partner API's to our platform

• Driving performance, efficiency and effectiveness of engineering and product development team

• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage

Must have:

• Experience building a product from inception to launch and then scale (min. 3 years). You have experience with agile development and continuous development / integration methodologies

• 3+ years of experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and

Python

• 3+ years of experience with CMS framework

• Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS

• A strong product sense and ability to build engaging tech for customers

• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to share/collaborate with peers

• You’ve managed, mentored, and inspired a small team of engineers providing architectural guidance, code reviews, etc.

• Deep knowledge of full-stack modern development practices (ex: DevOps, APIs)

• Experience in project management to ensure timely deliverables

• Fluency in English

Opportunity:

Senior Full Stack Developer:

Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid)

Salary: €40 - €55 per year (depending on experience)
